How a Business Eliminated 25 Hours of Manual Data Entry a Week with API Integration
Overview
Connect Aura Tech built a central integration layer connecting six business systems: CRM, ERP, e-commerce, payments, logistics, and accounting. The client is a confidential business. The published role attribution is limited to Head of Operations.
Project Snapshot
The Business Challenge
The business had multiple systems that did not communicate reliably with each other. Orders, invoices and customer data were being copied between systems manually. This created duplicate data entry, errors, delayed invoicing, and poor visibility when synchronisation failed.
Integration Architecture
The architecture is a central middleware / event-driven integration layer with queue-based retries and audit logging. It was designed to eliminate manual data entry, reduce invoicing delays, provide integration monitoring, support automatic retries, provide failure alerts, and maintain integration audit and reconciliation visibility.
The Solution
Instead of creating fragile point-to-point connections, Connect Aura Tech built a central middleware layer. Every system communicates through standard APIs. The integration layer receives events, validates data, places messages into a queue, updates target systems, records sync status, retries failures, and alerts the team when resolution is required.
Integration Workflow
Event in a source system
An event occurs in a source system.
Receive and validate
Middleware receives and validates the data.
Queue
The message enters a queue.
Update the target system
The target system is updated.
Log or retry
The sync is logged as successful, or retried automatically if it fails.
Alert if unresolved
The team is alerted if the issue remains unresolved.
Results
| Metric | Before | After | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Systems connected | Disconnected | 6 via one layer | Fully integrated |
| Manual data entry | ~25 hours/week | Eliminated | ~25 hours saved weekly |
| Invoicing time | ~1 business day | ~1 hour | ~88% faster |
| Sync success rate | Unmonitored | ~99.5% | Automatic retries and alerts |
Technology Stack
The integration backend is Node.js / TypeScript middleware with REST APIs and webhook handlers. PostgreSQL stores integration configuration, sync state, audit logs and reconciliation records. AWS SQS handles asynchronous processing, retries and dead-letter queues. Hosting uses AWS ECS/EC2, RDS PostgreSQL, S3 and CloudWatch. Authentication uses OAuth 2.0, API keys and signed webhooks as required by each provider. Connected systems are Shopify, Zoho CRM, TallyPrime, Razorpay, Shiprocket and GST e-invoicing APIs. Observability covers structured logs, a sync-status dashboard, retry monitoring and failure alerts. Tracked measures are integration success rate, latency, error rate and reconciliation reporting.

Limitations / Measurement
Results on this page are limited to the supplied project figures: six systems connected, about 25 hours a week of manual data entry eliminated, invoicing time from about one business day to about one hour, and a sync success rate of about 99.5%. No ROI, revenue, conversion, customer-growth, or rupee cost-saving figure is added.
Client Anonymity

Client Testimonial
“We had good tools that simply didn't talk to each other, so our team spent all day copying data by hand. Connect Aura Tech connected everything through one reliable layer, and if a sync ever fails, we know about it before our customers do.”
FAQs
